New Indian Sports Channel ‘Sony Six’ is aired now

Recently, the 14th sports channel ‘Sony Six’ has been launched by MSM India (Multi Screen Media) on April 7, 2012. The channel seems to be a best place to catch our favorite sports in the Indian television. It’s a complete package of sports which will telecast Cricket matches, UFC fights, Basketball matches, Soccer, Badminton and much more will be added soon.

Currently, Sony Six have signed the broadcasting deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for 4 years. It aired the Live streaming coverage and highlights of UFC. And soon the channel will sign some other sports telecast contracts including FA Cup, NBA etc. Being told that, the channel is also planning to take the deal of Hockey tournaments and Indian Cricket.

I’ve also spotted that, the Sony Six will also broadcast the Live coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 6 T20 tournament next year. For now Sony Six only telecast the IPL 2012 highlights because the IPL 5 Live coverage is already being telecasted on Sony Set Max.

Sony Six owners have also announced that the advertisements will be shown after 3 months because the ads rates have not decided yet. So, the advertisers have to wait for 3 months to sign the deal with Sony Six channel.
